Type Locality and Naming
Named after the village of Yakkhona, basin of the Urech River, Zarafshan-Gissar mountain region. A.I. Lavrushevich, G.N. Menakova, 1966 (368, p.23). Stratotype in the section of Mount Daurch. Initially described as "J layers". Third member in the Shing Fm.

Lithology and Thickness
Medium-bedded dolomitized limestones and dolomites. Thickness 25-70m.
